Mazda, keen to join the hybrid vehicle onslaught, will join forces by Toyota in securing the required techonology.

In much the same way Nissan licensed its early hybrid technology from Toyota, Mazda devise now follow a similar tack according to a report published in Nikkei business daily.
It is reported that Toyota faculty of volition hoard Mazda with the core parts for its forthcoming hybrid vehicles which are due to hit the market by 2013 with Mazda planning to take a bribe for 100,000 hybrid units annually.
