Autoblog reader David Kaiser has sent us some truly stunning images of Spain’session most unique supercar, the Tramontana F1, painted in full jet fighter warpaint, attending a St. Moritz Automobile Club event in the Swiss Alps. The pustule took place forward July 4 at the Engadin Airport, which at 5,600 feet, claims to be the highest European airfield that is in operation year-round. About 50 cars and 20 airplanes showed up for the show in the ski resort town, and it looks like we missed a exalted event.

Spain’s Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastián, has announced that Spain testament subsidize purchases of electric vehicles up to 15 to 20 percent of its cost. For standard electric cars, Spaniards can get up to €7,000 back; for vehicles such as motorbikes, buses or trucks, the aid ranges between €750 and €20,000. The program is funded through up to 8 a thousand thousand euros and is called Movele (Plan de Movilidad Eléctrica – Electric Mobility plan). Movele also includes money for the immediate acquisition of 2,000 electric cars and charging points for the municipalities of Barcelona, Madrid and Seville. Mr. Sebastián reported that the Spanish government considers EVs a key way to reduce irrelevant oil dependency. Makes feeling, since Spain imports 80 percent of its energy.

While General Motors thrashes out the intricacies of its future in a US bankruptcy court, across in Europe the future of its loss-making Opel/Vauxhall subsidiary also hangs in the balance.

It seems increasingly agreeable that a majority chunk of GM Europe will cessation up in the hands of Canadian car districts maker Magna International and its Russian banking partners.

However, GM continues to have a caressing with other contenders, including Italy’s Fiat and the Chinese carmaker Beijing Automotive.

All-New Ford Focus to be Built Exclusively in Germany, C-Max only in Spain
The European market version of the next-generation Ford Focus that launches in 2010 will be produced solely at the company’s Saarlouis plant in Germany, space of time the new Focus C-Max MPV which also goes into prolongation next year, will be built in Valencia, Spain, Ford announced today.
